The fatty acids, found in omega-3 fish oils have significant anti-inflammatory properties, as a result of them suppressing the production of compounds that give rise to inflammation in the body.

Clinical studies of patients with rheumatoid arthritis have demonstrated a reduction of arthritic symptoms; including pain, the number of tender joints and morning stiffness.
